Fashion Management Students Announce University of Lincoln’s First Ever Virtual Fashion Showcase

Reading time

Students from the Lincoln International Business School and School of Design have come together to produce the University of Lincoln’s first ever virtual fashion showcase.

Digital Fashion Promotion, is a collective working assessment of MSc Fashion Management students and third year BA (Hons) Fashion students.

Throughout May 2020, a series of releases of the students’ design work will be published on social media, leading up to the main virtual fashion event (date soon to be announced).

The online showcase will introduce over 14 passionate student designers during the month, displaying their creative fashion ranges, plus videos of the students’ final garments.

The fashion showcase has been organised by the MSc Fashion Management students to expand on their theoretical skills to create and market an event.

Originally planned as a live fashion event, the virtual showcase has been organised in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, which saw the live show unfortunately cancelled.

Undeterred, the students opted instead to continue with their event and showcase their hard work online via social media as a low-budget and sustainable alternative.
